SILVIA SIMEONE Owner/Artistic Director/Instructor
Silvia received her early years of training at Donna Miceli Dance Center where she was a member in several of the resident dance companies over her 15 years of study. While performing in several outreach programs, she found that she truly enjoyed bringing the joy of dance into the community. She grew up training in ballet, jazz, pointe, lyrical, and modern. Silvia then furthered her career at the University of Tampa, FL where she studied Psychology and recieved her BA in Psychology and Dance/Theater. She was a lead choreographer and dancer in several performances at Tampa's Falk Theater, Gallery events, and University run performances. Throughout her collegiate training, she was honored with awards for her dedication and outstanding contributions to the UT Dance Department.
Her extensive training also includes study under renowned artists while attending dance workshops and intensives at the Boston Conservatory, the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance (NYC), Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (NYC) and classes with ballet master Finis Jhung. Silvia's love of dance has also led her to Italy where she joined the World Dance Movement which offers training and inspiration from international faculty known as masters in their field of dance. Training with the dance industry’s leading innovators allows Silvia to continue to bring current and evolving styles of dance into her studio while also keeping with the traditional styles of which dance is rooted from.
With more than 20 years in the dance field, Silvia has taught all genres of dance at several dance schools in MA as well as NH, and FLA. Her passion for dance continues, as she is a life-long student to the art of dance.
Robyn's early dance study began under the guidance and encouragement of Margaret Sadowsky where she focused her training on ballet, and then later graduated onto pointe, fulfilling one of her goals as a ballet dancer. Using her strong technical training, Robyn then evolved into the practice of lyric dance. As a ballerina, Robyn performed in several ballet productions including Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Giselle. She later furthered her dance career in Theater and Dance at Bridgewater State College as a performing member of the Bridgewater State Dance Team.
Robyn continues to follow her love of dance by continuing her studies in ballet and contemporary. Her 8 yr. old daughter also has a passion for dance and is enjoying her own dance classes at EDC while 'assisting' her mom with the little ones on Saturdays. For over a decade Robyn has been a Preschool teacher and is the owner of The Good Day Learning Center daycare in Chelmsford. Miss Robyn teaches our little ones in the Discovering Dance combo classes.
Crystal began dancing at the age of three at Donna Miceli Dance Center and continued her study over the next 15 years. Her many years of training encompasses classical styles such as ballet, pointe, jazz, modern and tap as well as the more evolving styles of lyrical and contemporary. She was a member of the resident dance company where she performed throughout the community as well as on the stage at Walt Disney World. Due to her well-rounded training, she was also chosen to be an assistant teacher and taught young children for 5 years.
Crystal joined Elite Dance Company in 2010 to refresh her knoweledge of dance and further her training. She has been a wonderful addition to the classes while learning the philosophies of the studio so she may bring those values and standards to the students she is now be teaching. Crystal is looking forward to sharing her love and passion for dance with the students at EDC, while continuing to study the many facets and techniques of dance under the direction of the studio.
Mikayla Souza grew up dancing throughout Southern New Hampshire and the Greater Boston area and first discovered her love for teaching dance as a student instructor during her high school years. Miss Mikayla went on to earn a BS in Elementary Education and a BA in Theatre and Dance from Keene State College, where she had the privilege of working with esteemed professors such as Marcia Murdock, William Seigh, and Cathy Nicoli, and guest professor/artist in residence Frances Nii Yartey of the Royal Ballet of Ghana. In addition to her studies in modern, ballet, and West African dance, Miss Mikayla also performed and competed hip hop and jazz routines throughout New England with the Keene State College Dance Team. She joined the Elite family in 2011 as a tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop instructor. Miss Mikayla strives to further her growth as a dancer and an artist by attending as many classes and conventions as possible, including weekly classes at EDC. In addition to teaching our lovely Elite dancers, Miss Mikayla also teaches third grade in Lowell.
Bianca Shaughnessy has been dancing and training in New Hampshire since she was 3. She was a production cast dancer and aerialist on board two Royal Caribbean cruise ships in which she was also granted the title of Aerial Captain. She was given the amazing opportunity to travel to over 15 different countries while doing what she loves. Bianca also has a true passion for fitness and nutrition and holds a NASM certification as a Personal Trainer. She was a New England Patriots Cheerleader for the 2016-2017 season and was able to attend numerous events in Houston and dance on the sidelines of Super Bowl LI. She loves being able to share her love for dance and fitness through teaching and training her students, and looks forward to seeing them grow in life and on stage every year!

EDC's enthusiastic instructors are dedicated to teaching the art of dance and take pride in well-thought-out decisions and creative choices that are in the best interest of each dancer's learning and progress. Each instructor has their own special strengths, artistic personalities, and unique visions that contribute to our top level faculty!
Donna was the Founder/Director of the Donna Miceli Dance Center for the past 47 years and has been a pillar of the dance community since its opening. She recieved her training at Boston Ballet, Gus Giordano Dance Center in Chicago, and the New York City studios of Luigi and Alvin Ailey. In addition to founding the Donna Miceli Dance Ensemble and the Youth Company, Ms. Miceli has instructed at Boston School of Ballet, Gus Giordano Dance Center, Jeanette Neill Dance Studio and Lowell Arts Magnet School. She has been a Master Teacher for the Dance Teachers Clubs of Boston and Maine, Dance Masters of America and Tanzwerkstatt Internationale in Bonn, Germany.
The recipient of numerous awards for her performances and choreography, Ms. Miceli has choreographed for MRT and professional companies. She was a finalist in the International Choreography Competitive Event at Jazz Dance World Congress 2000 and 2003 where she received Honorable Mention awards for her work. Ms. Miceli is certified by the Dance Teachers Club of Boston and Dance Masters of America as serves as adjudicator at competitions.
Amanda has been dancing since she was three years old and receivd her training at Dance Productions in Woburn, MA. After graduating from Wilmington High School, Amanda went on to study Dance Performance Studies and Elementary Education at Roger Williams University (RWU) in Bristol, RI. At RWU, Amanda performed for four years as a company member of the Dance Theatre. She received the "Who's Who among Students in American Universities & Colleges" Award, the "Outstanding Academic Acheivement Award in Dance", as well as, the "Paolino Dance Scholarship". After earning her BA in Dance Performance Studies and Elementary Education, Amanda earned her Master's degree from Bridgewater State University in Special Education: Severe Disabilities (all levels). For the past seven years, she has been working as a special educator for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and teaching dance to students ranging in ages 6 - 18.

ZACH GALASSO - Special Guest Artist
Zach Galasso has been dancing for over 18 years. He began his training at Broadway Dance Academy in Tewksbury, MA and was a member of the competitive program for 10 years. Zach attended Hofstra University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Art's in Communications. At Hofstra, Zach was a four year member and senior captain of the Hofstra University Dance Team. While on the team, he won two Division 1 National Titles in 2012 and 2013 at the Universal Dance Association Collegiate National Championship. He also appeared, with his team, on ESPN and Good Morning America. In addition to being a dancer, Zach has been teaching and choreographing for 12 years. He started teaching at Broadway Dance Academy and other local studios in MA as well as schools in Long Island, New York. He is now a choreographer for TRA Choreography and works nationally with high school and college dance teams. Among his dance projects, Zach has choreographed a music video for artist Jared Evan and recently traveled to Finlad to work with competitive dance teams.
MICHELLE FOWLER PINTO - Special Guest Artist
Michelle Pinto has been inspiring and motivating students for over 32 years by sharing her love of dance, appreciation of proper technique, and her positive and proactive approach to life. She teaches ballet, children’s tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and modern. She has directed pre-professional and competing companies at the Donna Miceli Dance Center in Lowell, MA, Allegro Dance Academy in Nashua, NH and at The Studio Dance Company in Clearwater, FL. She currently is on the faculty at West Florida Dance Center in Largo, FL and travels to New England each summer to teach master classes at numerous camps and intensives. Her students emerge from her classes as strong, passionate, and technically proficient dancers. They have gone on to win scholarships from conventions and advanced academies, perform at Disney, on cruise ships, for the Rockettes, Cirque de Soleil, the Dizzy Feet Foundation, on Broadway, television and in movies.
Dance has been a part of Paige's life since the 3rd grade. She has been a student at Elite Dance Company since the very first day the studio doors opened and is so proud of all the things Elite has accomplished over the last 10 years and has loved watching both the studio and students blossom. Paige uses dance as a way to not only express herself, but to help her live a healthy lifestyle as well. Paige graduated from UMass Amherst with a B.S in Nutrition in May 2017 and is on her way to becoming a Registered Dietitian. She is passionate about the importance of fueling our bodies through good food to help us do amazing things, like dance! Paige is ready to leap back into dance full time after being away at school the last four years. She will be taking classes each week at Elite in addition to teaching our tiny ballerinas on Saturdays. She is certain that her 11th year at Elite Dance Company will be the best year yet!
